Law Student Nikalus A. Sheridan Wins Our 5th Annual Legal Scholarship for 2018
“I have led, followed, laughed, cried, won, lost, succeeded, and failed. I’ve broken bones, shed blood, been carried helplessly out of harm’s way, dodged death, and have battled it futilely when it called on others. Through it all, one thing- the law I swore to uphold- has remained constant. This construct, that on one hand is said to represent the innate knowledge of all humans, is at the same time so abstract and complicated that its nuances are disputed exhaustively by the great minds of our society. It represents the fabric of collective human consciousness, and yet is a divisive force among individuals.”
Niklaus is attending Michigan State University College of Law and his goal after graduating is to use his experience and knowledge as a law enforcement officer to help those accused of criminal acts and give give those who may not otherwise have a voice in the criminal justice system. We would like to congratulate Nikalus and wish him the best of luck in the future. We hope that you have a long and promising career in the the legal field!
