Law Student Donovan Sowder Wins Our 2nd Annual Legal Scholarship for 2015
Donovan’s essay stood out from the rest along with a very strong and impressive academic performance. It is very clear that Donovan would like improve his local community including the lives of neighbors by becoming an attorney. “My aspirations, as trite as they may seem, are to leave the world a better place and to increase the quality of life for those around me. I will accomplish both of these objectives through practicing law as a litigation attorney while being an active participant in government and politics. I knew from a young age that I wanted to become an attorney so that I could litigate legal disputes. I plan to use my time at Vanderbilt University to increase my knowledge of the law while sharpening my litigation skills.” Donovan also emphasized a passion for pro-bono work and participating in community service activities.
We wish Donovan the best of luck with in the future and we hope that you have a very promising legal career. Congratulations!
